Podujatia sa zúčastnili za Slovenskú technickú univerzitu rektor STU prof. Robert Redhammer a prorektor STU pre vedu a výskum prof. Stanislav Biskupič. V mene Fakulty chemickej a potravinárskej technológie prišli dekan FCHPT prof. Ján Šajbidor a všetci traja prodekani doc. Monika Bakošová, prof. Anton Gatial a prof. Ľudovít Jelemenský. Za kooperujúce strany mimo univerzity prišli riaditeľ Odboru rozvojovej spolupráce a humanitárnej pomoci Ministerstva zahraničných vecí a európskych záležitostí SR (ORPO) JUDr. Jaroslav Chlebo a riaditeľka Slovenskej agentúry pre medzinárodnú rozvojovú spoluprácu (SAMRS) Dr. Ing. Zuzana Letková. Hostiteľom večera bola osoba veľkou mierou stojaca za úspešnou spoluprácou oboch krajín, pracovník Ústavu chemického a environmentálneho inžinierstva FCHPT a člen Výkonného výboru Zväzu Afgancov na Slovensku doc. Juma Haydary. Celú akciu moderoval Ing. Martin Grančay. Na akcii sa zúčastnilo aj niekoľko ďalších členov akademickej obce FCHPT a takisto členovia Zväzu Afgancov na Slovensku.
Vo svojich príhovoroch jednotliví rečníci vyzdvihovali benefity nadnárodnej spolupráce a vyslovovali dôveru v úspechy budúcich projektov. Rektor STU prof. Redhammer spomenul, že Slovensko už patrí k vyspelým priemyselným krajinám a poďakoval všetkým zodpovedným osobám, ktoré na projektoch aktívne participovali. Prorektor STU prof. Biskupič konštatoval, že presne takéto aktivity prispievajú k internacionalizácii FCHPT a šíreniu dobrého mena STU vo svete. Riaditeľ ORPO JUDr. Chlebo zdôraznil, že sa nejedná o pomoc, ale o spoluprácu. Afganistan patrí medzi programové krajiny SR pre medzinárodnú spoluprácu a je jednou z našich základných teritoriálnych priorít. Na Ministerstve zahraničných vecí a európskych záležitostí SR veria, že v rámci spolupráce s Afganskou islamskou republikou sme ponúkli to, v čom sa ako krajina cítime silní a pomohli sme regiónu, ktorý patrí medzi priority celej Európskej únie. Ďalším rečníkom bol dekan FCHPT prof. Šajbidor, ktorý zaspomínal na rôznorodé aktivity v rámci tejto viac než 10 rokov trvajúcej spolupráce. FCHPT stála pri zrode chemickej fakulty v Afganistane, pri tvorbe študijných programov a jednotlivých predmetov. Prof. Šajbidor na záver svojho príhovoru vyslovil želanie, aby aj vďaka našej pomoci vyrástla v Afganistane nová generácia schopných technikov a zaprial všetkým participujúcim stranám veľa elánu a dobrých nápadov. Riaditeľka SAMRS Dr. Ing. Letková priblížila prítomným zrod celej myšlienky. V roku 2005 za ňou prišiel doc. Haydary s projektom nového laboratória na Herátskej univerzite v Afganistane. To vtedy ešte nik netušil, že je to len začiatok dlhotrvajúcej spolupráce. Za jej pôsobenia v agentúre prešli afganské univerzity aj vďaka spolupráci s našou univerzitou veľkým prerodom. Dr. Ing. Letková dala v závere najavo svoje sympatie k Afganistanu, ku krajine, v ktorej neustále cítiť a vidieť pokrok. A to už sa ku slovu dostal aj doc. Haydary – „vinník“ celej akcie.
Doc. Haydary komplexne priblížil jednotlivé projekty, z ktorých spolupráca s afganskými univerzitami pozostávala. Dokopy sa jednalo o 6 rôznych projektov, pričom v rámci Afganistanu sa spolupracovalo s Kábulskou polytechnickou univerzitou (KPU), jedinou technickou univerzitou v Afganistane, a Herátskou univerzitou. Prvým projektom bolo postavenie nového laboratória na testovanie konštrukčných materiálov na Herátskej univerzite v rokoch 2005 – 2007. V roku 2008 sa rozbehla široká kooperácia európskych a ázijských univerzít s cieľom zvýšiť úroveň vzdelávania na afganských univerzitách. Do tohto projektu boli zapojené okrem STU, ktorá celú akciu zaštítila a zohrávala rolu hlavného koordinátora, aj viedenská Technická univerzita TU Wien, Ázijský technický inštitút AIT v Thajsku a na strane prijímateľa KPU. V rámci tohto projektu trvajúceho tri roky došlo k výmenným pobytom medzi jednotlivými univerzitami, k organizácii 3 medzinárodných konferencií na pôde Afganistanu a k vychovaniu celkovo 13 nových mladých afganských učiteľov, pričom deväť z nich študovalo práve na STU. Tretí projekt (2009 – 2011) bol zameraný na rozvoj KPU. Pozostával z celkovo 12 stáží afganských učiteľov, inžinierov a talentovaných študentov na STU, 5 odborných seminárov v Kábule, vývoja 2 nových študijných programov a návrhu nových experimentálnych prác spolu s potrebným laboratórnym vybavením. Štvrtý projekt (2011 – 2013) priniesol KPU nové mikrobiologické a chemicko-inžinierske laboratóriá. V rámci piateho projektu došlo k vybaveniu nových laboratórií pre potreby všeobecnej chemickej technológie a k vývoju nových študijných odborov. Zatiaľ posledný projekt bol zameraný na založenie odboru Výživa a hodnotenie potravín na Herátskej univerzite, ktorého cieľom je eliminovať problém Afganistanu s dovozom potravín o nízkej kvalite. Opäť došlo k viacerým výmenným pobytom, odborným seminárom a k vytvoreniu moderných laboratórií slúžiacich na účely hodnotenia kvality potravín.
Nebolo možné na týchto pár riadkoch spísať všetko, čo tieto projekty afganskému ľudu priniesli. Výsledné čísla sú dych vyrážajúce. S pomocou STU a najmä FCHPT bolo možné uskutočniť:

vybudovanie úplne novej Fakulty chemickej technológie na KPU a 6 moderných laboratórií,

vyvinutie 4 nových odborov,
-
vyškolenie 13 mladých afganských učiteľov (9 na našej univerzite), pracovné stáže na STU pre 56 učiteľov z Afganistanu, intenzívne odborné kurzy a semináre na partnerských univerzitách,
-
3 medzinárodné konferencie na pôde afganských univerzít,
-
3 návštevy významných predstaviteľov KPU a Herátskej univerzity v Bratislave,
-
spísanie a vydanie 4 dvojjazyčných učebníc (angličtina/perzština) nevyhnutných pri tvorbe nových študijných programov.
Na záver celej akcie vystúpil aj zástupca Zväzu Afgancov na Slovensku, pán MVDr. Assad Akbari. Srdečne poďakoval Slovensku za afganský ľud a vyjadril obdiv nad odvahou Slovákov pustiť sa do takejto veľkej spolupráce s krajinou, akou je Afganistan. A síce Slovensko nie je jeho rodnou krajinou, hrdo sa hlási k Slovákom. „Nenarodil som sa ako Slovák, ale Slovákom som sa stal.“
Po všetkých príhovoroch nasledovalo vystúpenie afganských umelcov na národných nástrojoch – tabla (podobné bongám) a rubab (podobné gitare). Za tónov tradičnej hudby Afganistanu sa rozvírila priateľská diskusia pri bohatom občerstvení. Vo všeobecnosti panovala na podujatí príjemná atmosféra a všetci účastníci odchádzali s úsmevmi na tvári. Akcia bola oslavou pomoci Slovenska Afganistanu, krajine 13x rozľahlejšej so 6-násobným počtom obyvateľov. Vo vzduchu bolo cítiť hrdosť a nadšenie účastníkov z faktu, že Slovensko je malou krajinou schopnou veľkých vecí.
Ján Janošovský
