The Erasmus+ partnership project of the University of Banja Luka "Improvement of the quality of chemistry teaching in VET in Bosnia and Herzegovina - ChemTeach" was officially opened at the first working meeting held on the 21 and 22 February 2024 at the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology of the Slovak Technical University of Bratislava.
The Slovak Technical University is the coordinator of the project, and as to the implementation of the ChemTeach project, in addition to the University of Banja Luka and partners from Slovakia, five other secondary schools participate in this project to strengthen the role of teachers in the teaching process.
They include middle School of Chemistry in Bratislava and the Upper Secondary School of Chemistry from the Czech city of Pardubice, and three schools from Banja Luka – Grammar School, School of Medicine and School of Technology.
The goal of the project is to improve the teaching of chemistry over the next three years through teacher education and training, workshops for teachers and students, and the creation of manuals with digital teaching materials that will contribute to the competence of teachers and enable the improvement and modernization of university teaching for future chemistry professors.
